Bhopal police have now announced a ₹30,000 reward for information that helps locate and arrest the suspect. More than 150 personnel have been deployed in a four-state search operation involving 12 specialised teams.

The investigation has also involved extensive CCTV examination. Local reports said hundreds of cameras were being reviewed as investigators worked to reconstruct the suspect’s movements after the crime.

The case has attracted significant attention because of the victim’s former senior administrative position and the circumstances surrounding the killing.

Lawyers Protest Advocate’s Electrocution Death

Another major Bhopal news today story involves a protest by lawyers following the death of advocate and BJYM Bhopal district general secretary Divyarishi Tiwari.

Around 300–400 lawyers reportedly participated in a torch rally in MP Nagar. Tiwari allegedly died after coming into contact with a live streetlight pole outside a mall on September 27.

The protesters marched to the MP Nagar police station and submitted a memorandum addressed to the Chief Minister. They demanded that officials responsible for any electrical-safety failure be identified and face appropriate action.

The incident has raised questions about maintenance of public electrical infrastructure and safety measures in areas with heavy pedestrian and vehicle movement.

Chinese Manjha Injures Bhopal Policeman

Public safety concerns have also increased after a police constable suffered a deep cut to his neck from allegedly banned Chinese manjha.

The 40-year-old constable, identified as Ravi Shilpi, was riding a motorcycle near Polytechnic Square on Smart City Road when the sharp kite string became entangled around his neck. He reportedly suffered heavy bleeding and required five stitches.

Police registered a case against unidentified persons under Section 125(A) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Authorities have previously prohibited the use, sale and storage of Chinese manjha within Bhopal metropolitan limits because the sharp, glass-coated string can seriously injure people and birds.

The latest incident has renewed calls for stronger enforcement against the sale and use of hazardous kite strings.

Shah said Madhya Pradesh would receive a significant boost under White Revolution 2.0, with the state targeting a substantial increase in milk procurement and expansion of cooperative dairies.

The state’s target is to increase daily milk procurement from approximately 12 lakh kg to 52 lakh kg. The initiative is intended to strengthen dairy cooperatives, improve farmers’ incomes and increase women’s participation in the organised dairy sector.

The national programme also targets the establishment of 75,000 new cooperative dairies and strengthening of 46,000 existing dairies.
