Rajasthan Crime News Today: Jaipur Cyber Fraud, Murder & Police Updates

Rajasthan crime news today is drawing attention to several serious developments across Jaipur, Jhunjhunu, Jodhpur, Didwana-Kuchaman and Udaipur. The latest reports include a temple-area murder investigation, major cyber-fraud cases, an alleged online blackmail racket and a significant court development in the Udaipur Kanhaiya Lal murder case.

Jhunjhunu Sant Murder Case: Police Make Arrest

One of the biggest Rajasthan crime news today stories comes from Jhunjhunu district, where police have reportedly solved the murder of 80-year-old Sant Surjadas Maharaj at Barkhandi Dham in Lohargal.

According to police, the accused allegedly targeted the elderly religious figure with the intention of stealing money offered at the religious site. Investigators said the suspect had reportedly conducted reconnaissance of the location twice before the incident.

Police allege that the accused took the saint towards a hilly area and pushed him into a deep ravine. Investigators subsequently traced the suspect with the help of mobile-location data and detained him near Golyana village. Police said the accused admitted involvement during questioning, although the investigation is continuing.

Jaipur Cyber Fraud Case Involving ₹100 Crore

Cybercrime remains one of the most significant concerns in Jaipur crime news. Jaipur’s Sodala police recently busted an alleged investment-fraud network accused of cheating people of around ₹100 crore.

Police reportedly arrested two alleged key accused and seized or froze assets including a Mercedes reportedly valued at around ₹1.25 crore, expensive motorcycles and a fixed deposit of approximately ₹1 crore.

According to the investigation, the accused allegedly promised victims that their money could be doubled through investments in cryptocurrency, USDT and property. Police are continuing to investigate the financial transactions and identify other people who may have been involved in the alleged network.

Jodhpur Police Officer Loses ₹16.42 Lakh in Online Fraud

A surprising Jodhpur cyber crime case involves an assistant sub-inspector serving with the Jodhpur Police Commissionerate.

According to a report, the officer was allegedly targeted by fraudsters who promised online investment opportunities and a 20% commission. The suspects reportedly sent a WhatsApp link and persuaded him to participate in a fake online shopping operation called “Summer Collection.”

After initially providing a small commission to gain his confidence, the alleged fraudsters demanded additional payments under various names, including GST, service tax and withdrawal charges. The officer reportedly lost ₹16.42 lakh before approaching police.

A case has been registered and investigators are working to identify the accused behind the operation.

Jodhpur Work-From-Home Blackmail Racket

Jodhpur Police have also arrested two Mumbai-based men in an alleged blackmail operation targeting women through fake work-from-home opportunities.

According to investigators, the suspects allegedly attracted women by offering remote employment and then used compromising material as part of an alleged extortion scheme.

The arrests highlight concerns surrounding fraudulent online job advertisements. Police are continuing the investigation to determine whether additional victims or accomplices were involved.

Jaipur Fake Call Centre Busted

Rajasthan Police have continued their crackdown on international cybercrime networks operating from Jaipur.

In a recent operation in Bindayaka, the Rajasthan Police Cyber Crime Unit and Jaipur West Police reportedly arrested 14 people from an alleged international fake call centre.

Police said the suspects allegedly posed as Apple customer-support representatives and targeted people in the United States. Officers reportedly seized laptops, mobile phones, routers, SIM cards and other electronic equipment during the raid.

According to investigators, the suspects allegedly sent messages to victims claiming that charges had been approved for Apple products or services before attempting to defraud them.

Cyber Fraud Syndicate Busted in Didwana-Kuchaman

Another important Rajasthan cyber crime news development has emerged from Didwana-Kuchaman district.

Police reportedly arrested three people accused of operating an interstate cyber-fraud syndicate under the cover of online gaming and betting. Investigators said the alleged network used rented bank accounts and fake SIM cards to conduct fraudulent transactions.

Police recovered digital devices and banking-related documents during the operation. The investigation is continuing to determine the scale of the network and identify other suspected members.

High Court Rejects Bail in Kanhaiya Lal Murder Case

The Rajasthan High Court has rejected bail pleas filed by five men accused by the National Investigation Agency in connection with the 2022 Udaipur Kanhaiya Lal murder case.

The court reportedly held that material presented by the NIA prima facie indicated the accused’s alleged role and noted that the trial was progressing. The five accused named in the latest court report are Wasim Ali, Muslim Khan, Mohsin Khan, Mohammad Mohsin and Asif Hussain.

The court’s observations concern the bail proceedings and do not constitute a final determination of guilt.
