New Delhi: Google has announced its September 2026 Android Drop, introducing several new features designed to make smartphones more useful, accessible and personalized. The latest update brings improvements to Gemini, Find Hub and Google Messages, with availability depending on the Android version and device.

One of the most notable additions is the new “Remembered Items” feature in Find Hub. Android users can ask Gemini to remember where they placed important belongings such as passports, keys or other items that do not have tracking tags. Users can later ask Gemini for the saved location or check the Remembered tab in Find Hub. The feature is planned for Android 16 and newer devices in supported markets.

Google is also introducing Motion Assist on Android 17 phones. The feature places a moving bubble overlay on the display while users are travelling, aiming to reduce motion sickness when reading or using a phone inside a moving vehicle.

Meanwhile, Gemini Live is gaining Guided Vision, which can provide spoken descriptions of objects and surroundings through the phone’s camera. Google says the feature can help with tasks such as reading small print or identifying objects.
