Tamil Nadu BJP president Nainar Nagendran has stepped up his criticism of the state government over water availability for farmers, demanding the immediate release of water from the Papanasam Dam. Nagendran said farmers had been protesting over the lack of water for their crops and argued that the government should respond quickly to prevent further agricultural losses. According to reports, he claimed that nearly 5,000 acres of crops were at risk because of inadequate water supply.
